Avito engages marketplace model to sell via website, application

MOSCOW, Feb 15 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Avito, which used to work as an online classifieds service, has introduced an additional tool of purchases allowing businessmen to sell goods on the website and in the application, Avito said on Monday in a statement.

“Avito is launching a transactional model and functions like in modern online stores and marketplaces and necessary for producers and sellers of goods to sell directly on the website and in the application,” Avito said.

Now goods can be paid for straight on the Avito website.

“We’ve decided to make the floor even more convenient for businessmen by integrating the marketplace with Avito,” Alexei Kurakin, managing director of Avito Goods, said.
